Remembrance Day Weekend

Red, yellow, brown and green leaves cover the ground. Rain is falling and it is windy. The Beagle prefers to stay in her den and curl up by the fire-place. Her two-legged pack mates share her preference of warm den to cold, wet outdoors. Fall is in full effect.

The beagle is growing up. She used to want to meet and play with every dog. She still does for the most part. On Saturday, however, she met a dog she definitely did not like. A black lab came running at her . The beagle barked louder than I'd ever heard her. Then she started snarling, and snapping her teeth. The lab, in the meanwhile was just standing there and wagging his tail. Either she got scared when he charged up so quickly, or she sensed something she didn't like. I'll probably never know. She's only done this one other time, with a large great dane/doberman cross at Bosley's Pet store. Both time's she snarled at dogs that could easily have had her for a snack. Crazy beagle!

This weekend consisted of household cleaning, homework, and just plain work. But we did have Chano and Chrissy over for dinner. We watched Kicking and Screaming (Not great but it had its laughs. Will Ferrell is always entertaining), and played some video games, including on our ol' school Dreamcast. Three AM crept up real quick. Crazy Taxi 2 is still fun after all these years!
