Wine Country Wedding Celebration

About 3 Years ago, my good friends Monique and Reza were married in a private ceremony on a California Beach.

As you can tell by the picture, this ceremony was undoubtedly romantic and very special to the couple, but they also wanted to celebrate their marriage with a group of family and friends. Last weekend we celebrated, and we celebrated in style, in a beautiful villa in Sonoma, Wine Country, California.

As part of the celebration, we went on a wine tasting tour on Saturday. We started off at Kunde Winery, where we got to roam in the wine cave pictured below.

Here's the small and privileged group that was in attendance for the celebration, pictured inside the wine cave.

The wine tour continued on to Chateau St. Jean where we had a little picnic of assorted breads, cheeses and meats, before our final stop at Ledson Winery. Back at the villa, everybody took a short nap, before the vino flowed again. Ah good times...

The next day started early with preparation for the big event. There was lots of uncertainty on where to set up, since rain was on and off. However, the slight bit of rain did not dampen the spirits. The smiles on the happy couple walking down the aisle after renewing their vows will attest to that.

After a very tasty catered lunch, I unfortunately had to run off to catch my flight. The weekend celebration was filled with lots of good conversation, memories and, of course, wine. I was glad to meet the families of the couple, and see our friends Kat and Harry again. The group was lots of fun to be around, though I wish wifey could have made it. The whole weekend was another testament to the couple's impeccable taste. As Bert said, this could be a sign of better things to come for them. Thank you Monique and Reza for inviting me to be a part of this event!

One final picture to round off this blog entry. Here's a pic of me and Reza. We used to hit the gym together. Years later, and we're still huge! Yeah!
